Century Works / Quality
Straight talk about what we check, and what we do not claim.
Trust in this trade comes from knowing where the limits are. This page says them plainly.
Who does what
Century Works quotes, coordinates, checks and delivers. The physical processing, such as cutting, threading, bending and galvanising, is carried out by licensed UAE partner workshops. We choose partners for the job and we stay responsible for the result you receive.
What we check
- The job against your drawing or specification before we quote.
- That grade, thread and finish suit each other.
- Quantity, dimensions and finish when the batch comes back.
- That any report we pass on was issued for your batch.
Good to know about galvanising
- Hot-dip galvanising suits carbon and alloy steel. It is not used on stainless steel.
- The coating thickens the thread. Nuts are normally tapped oversize after coating, or the bolt thread is cut to suit.
- Very high-strength bolts (class 10.9 and above) can be affected by the process. We review these before recommending galvanising.
- Typical references are ISO 10684 and ASTM F2329 for galvanised fasteners. Tell us which applies to your project.
Documents
We hand over mill certificates and partner reports when they exist for your batch. We never write a certificate, or imply a test, for work we did not carry out or witness.
What we will not do
- Recommend a finish that does not suit the part just to win the order.
- Promise a delivery date before the partner has confirmed their schedule.
- Take responsibility for structural design. Load capacity and anchor design belong to your engineer.
